“Chinese Romantics–Three Generations”—Group Exhibition Jul. 22—Sept. 10, 2008

Three Chinese artists who were born in 1960, 1971 and 1981, exhibit their work on beauty and romanticism of the female form, covering the Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD), the Republic of China and contemporary periods of Chinese history.

三位分别出生于六十，七十和八十年代的画家，用自己不同的经历和和审美情趣通过画中的女性演绎了在中国不同历史时期中的浪漫情怀。出生于六十年代的徐志刚用写意浪漫的笔触再现了上世纪三四十年上海女性的神韵和风采；出生于七十年代的王奇峰融合了中国传统水墨画的手法委婉细腻地表达了中国唐宋时期古代女子轻逸脱俗的古典优雅形象；而作为80后的女性新锐画家李雳则用鲜明的色调表达了现当代人对纯粹和简单的美的追求。
