“Shanghai Impression” Janine van Herwaarden Solo Exhibition

Dutch artist and designer Janine van Herwaarden, educated as an industrial designer with a Msc degree as well as an artist during the academic years, is going to showcase her latest works for the first solo exhibition in Shanghai.

Having worked and lived in Sri Lanka and Singapore, Asia has a special place in her heart. These new works are largely inspired by different cultures and experiences in Shanghai after her intense experience of living in China.

She loves to visualize daily life to touch people’s heart with their own story. She also loves to use different techniques to convey her creative thoughts. All these works from this exhibition show the characteristics of Shanghai as a modern city in day-to-day life.

荷兰艺术家及设计师Janine van Herwaarden，拥有工业设计硕士学位后，又专修了艺术。这次她将在上海的首次个展中展示她的最新作品。

Janine曾在斯里兰卡和新加坡工作生活过，亚洲在她的心目中占有着特殊的地位。她这次的新作灵感来源于中国的文化以及她在中国的生活经历。

她善于通过揭示人们日常生活中的故事来触碰观众的心灵，并擅长运用不同的技巧来诠释她的创作思维。这次的展览的作品展现了上海这个现代化城市的特质及其日常生活面貌。
