1. 此次个展是继2013年的首次个展“约会”之后，您与上海观众的第二次约会。您为何热衷于“约会”这个主题？

1. Rendez-Vous 2017! is your second exhibition in Shanghai since your first solo show Rendez-Vous in 2013. Why are you keen on the subject of Rendez-Vous?

我钟情于“约会”主题的原因很简单。当我们初次遇到某人并产生一些好感后，便由此开始了第一次约会。首次约会时，双方都会有些许害羞或略显不知所措。因而我们需要再次约会，以更好地了解对方，让自己更有把握和信心。在这次的“约会”主题中，我让大家能对我有了更深入的了解（但并非所有的！）。

Why I like this theme rendezvous? It’s simple. When we meet someone, we get feelings. Afterwards, we receive a first date. Often, we are a little shy at the beginning and are not sure about ourselves, sometimes we are even clumsy. Then, we need a second date for knowing each other better to be more confident

and to dare ask for more. In the theme of rendezvous, it enables you to know more about me (but not all!).

C’est simple, quand au rencontre quelqu’un et on a une attirance on obtient un premier RDV, on est timide, on n’est pas sûr de soi et quelquefois maladroit.

Il faut un 2ème RDV pour se connaître mieux et oser plus!

2. 在法国，您始终秉持着现场专业美术模特写生的原则来积累创作素材而非使用照片摄影的方式，请问您为何要坚持这种既费时又费钱的传统方法？

2. As I know, you keep using portrait for life in France instead of taking photographs. It seems spending much more time with a much higher cost. Why?

的确如此。我享受在现场与美术专业人体模特共同创作的绘画方式。为什么？因为你可以转过身去观察，去感受。这些专业人体模特在光和影中表达自己，营造出一种真实的氛围！

而这种氛围和情绪是从摄影照片中无法获得的，缺少了人与人之间的直接接触。我需要这种真实的情绪去创作。

Yes, I enjoy drawing with inspiration of live model. Why? Because you can turn around to observe it, to feel it. There is a real atmosphere with light and shadow to express themselves, and it is live!
Drawing from a photograph only, is unable to offer me that. As it is plain without any emotions. There is a lack of direct human contact. I need this emotion to create my artwork.

Oui, je préfère dessiner d’après modèle vivant, pourquoi? On peut tourner, autour, le voir, le sentir. Il y a une atmosphère, les ombres les lumières, il est vivant. Dessiner d’après photo ne me donne pas cette émotion.

C’est plat et sans vie ! J’ai besoin de cette émotion pour dessiner et créer.

3. 从您的绘画色彩与技法中不难窥出后印象派对您的影响，您是否很喜欢后印象派的作品？为什么？

3. We can find the spirit of post impressionism in your paintings. Does impressionism influence your art creation?

很多年以来，我一直不停地绘画与创作。如同所有初学者一般，起初着重于绘画技法的学习，就像音乐家的日常练习。但有一天，在不忘记绘画技法的同时，你需要突破并开创你自己的绘画世界。要做到这一点是不容易的，会花费你很多年的时间。

我仔细观察了绘画大师们的最初的作品和最近的作品…他们也用了很多年才创立了自己的绘画风格和时间。希望我也有时间来做到这一点！

I have been drawing and painting for long enough. Like all beginners, I started with learning techniques, like a musician practice routine. But at one point, you need to push the boundaries and escape to create your own world without forgetting your techniques.

It is not easy and takes many years to do so. I observed many masters and great artists, with comparison of their very first art pieces to the latest one… many years have passed to reach this stage. I hope I also have time to do so.

Je dessine depuis beaucoup d’année. Comme tout les débutants, j’ai commencé par le technique, comme les gammes pour un musicien. Mais un moment, il faut sortir et oser qui à déformer en gardant le technique, se n est pas simple et sa prend pas mal d’année.

J’ai observé les maîtres, les grands peintres entre leurs premiers œuvres et les plus récents, des années ont passé! J’espère avoir du temps!

4. 此次个展明显区别于四年前您在上海举办的首次个展。本次参展大部分作品已不见写实的踪影，而是将约会情景中的主角隐藏于不同色块和线条的抽象画面中去表现。为什么会有如此地转变？

4. You represent the first “dating” in abstract paintings with hidden body curves this time, rather than using figurative portraits as they used to be, why?

在我的首次个展“约会”中，我创作的更多是具象作品。四年过去了，我的创作风格也发生了变化和发展。我从现实中走了出来，将作品注入了更多的意象,表现主义和情感。希望观者能从内心深处去发现和感受。

In my first rendezvous solo exhibition, I shared more figurative artworks. However, 4 years passed on, the style of my artwork has changed. I took distance from the real, and tried to fill my work with full of expression, emotion, which I lead you to discovering and to feeling from inner side.

Dans mon premier RDV,  j’ai montré des œuvres plus figuratif, 4 ans ont passé!
Je pense que mon travail a évolué, je dois rendre une impression et non
à copier la réalité! Pas facile!

5. 您接下来是否还继续会坚持以“约会”为主题的系列创作？您是如何思考自己将来的创作方向的？

5. Are you going to continue the theme of Rendez-Vous series? What’ s your next step of your future art creation?

第三次约会,何尝不可呢？在第二次约会之后，也许我们可以展示或表达一些其他的内容…因此，一场第三次约会也是必要的，以抚慰我们的情感延伸。
第三次约会还需要时间继续创造以及总结表述的侧重面。
并且，第三次约会将取决于来自上海的观众们。我非常感谢诺易画廊及其团队，以及我儿子的大力支持。我会一直在此，准备着与你们所有人的第三次约会!

A third rendezvous, a third date, why not?

After a second date, what we have thought about, what we have shown or have said could be very different. Therefore a third date is necessary to comfort our thoughts, our feelings. It takes time to move forward, to keep creating and to summarize the key aspects.

And especially, a third rendezvous, also depends on the viewers from

3ème RDV pourquoi pas?

Après un 2ème rencontre, on se pose des questions et on se dit: j’aurais du dire ou montrer autre chose! Je n’étais pas à la hauteur!

Alors il me faut un autre RDV pour me rassurer ! Il faut du temps pour avancer, créer en résument l’essentiel.

Et surtout cela dépend du public de Shanghai!
