Zen Life” Hao Ping Solo Exhibition

“Zen Life” Hao Ping Solo Exhibition

Date: 3 November – 5 December, 2019

Four years later, emerging artist Hao Ping brings her second solo exhibition Zen Life to Shanghai audience. Influenced by ancient Chinese Taoism and Buddhism, Hao Ping’s artworks are full of oriental Zen inspiration – free and natural, abstract and simple, lyrical and poetic.

This exhibition covers lady portraits, still live and scenery. The artist uses abstract lines and overstated features to represent the ancient beauties on the canvas. Hao Ping’s artworks express her interpretation of oriental art through oil instead of ink as well as the merge of Taoism and Buddhism in Chinese culture. She believes the harmony of human’s co-existence with nature, with different cultures and religions is the key of Chinese traditional philosophy and wisdom to live a peaceful life over thousands of years.

Therefore, Hao Ping attempts to share this concept and wisdom with the world through this exhibition, wishing to find some ideas and solutions to resolve the conflicts between different cultures, religions and interests around the world nowadays.
