 “An Innocent Childhood” Wang Xuejun Solo Exhibition

An Innocent Childhood by Wang Xuejun is our first solo exhibition in 2020. This exhibition revives not only our childhood memories, but also our desire for art after having experienced the outbreak of Covid-19 Epidemic.

Artist Wang Xuejun closes himself in the studio and keeps working on new series during this tough period, thinking how one’s childhood influences one’s life. Many consider that childhood is a special period of human life to be nurtured, sheltered and protected, however, childhood is more than a period of unalloyed sweetness.

Artist centered his focus on the dreams and specific subjects to represent the childhood and self-rediscovery with happiness, curiosities, confusion, innocence, fears, anxiety, transition, growth, awakening, growth, freedom or abandon……

This exhibition aims to remind viewer’s childhood and to share empathy with people through Wang Xuejun’s work.

王学军的最新个展“糊涂童年”是自2020年新冠疫情以来诺易画廊推出的首次个展。在当前经济环境和生存环境充满着巨大挑战的特殊时期中，我们每个人正经历着一次特殊的人生升华期，开始重新考虑如何面对我们的人生。王学军将自己关在了工作室中埋头创作，以此来躲避病毒，共克时艰，在不知不觉中诞生了《糊涂童年》这个最新系列。

童年对人的一生影响究竟有多大？许多人认为童年是人类生命中需要培育和庇护的特殊时期，童年时期的玩具和“梦魇”便是儿时最多的陪伴。王学军借此作为展览的两条线索为我们打开了一扇魔幻的记忆大门，真实再现了艺术家内心最直观的感受和情绪表达。童年不仅仅是一段纯粹的甜蜜时光，糊糊涂涂或懵懵懂懂的，它更包含了内心的困惑、怀疑、恐惧、焦虑、好奇、成长或是被抛弃。

艺术家希望通过本次展览与观者们构筑起一个与童年对话的桥梁，并通过“童年”这面镜子来重新审视和解读自己。
