French Artist Group Exhibition

Date: 16 July – 12 August,  2015

This summer, we present our first group exhibition with three French contemporary artists: Clara Feder, Sebastien Osswaldand *LLND. This group exhibition featuresphotography, painting and mixed media art pieces.

Clara Federis a multi-media artist, a writer as well as a film maker, her works have been exhibited in Paris, London and New York.

Her “Light Travelers” series were born in Shanghai. They are sons and daughters of the artist’s fascination for China. They belong to the city lights and the immensity of Chinese mega-cities. They also convey the feeling of loneliness and strangeness one might have when living in such cities.

Sebastien Osswald creates his artworks on plaid fabric instead of canvas. He challenges himself to find the best pictorial language which fits in each piece of cloth with its own constraint.

His artworks speak out the phenomenon we often see nowadays in the modern world. We can find either celebrities or anonymous people in Sebastien’s works. All of them exist in real life and show themselves on the internet. His works question us about contemporary issues including globalization, new media and virtual relationship that can arouse between individuals.

Duo artists *LLND,who have been developing multi-media and innovative concepts in creating audio and visual instruments as well as visual artworks. They build a visual world consisting of vibration, sound, objects and Lights.Theirtwirling artworks investigate the invisibles and display the captured moments of Energy.
